Position description
The School of Engineering anticipates hiring full and part-time and lecturers positions to teach the following courses in the professional Master of Management Program for AY 2024-2025:
Fall 2024 – MIST 202: Managerial Finance and Accounting
Spring 2025 – MIST 206: Entrepreneurship and Innovation
MIST 208: Law, Policy, and Risk Management
Other courses as needed

In addition to teaching the course(s), the instructor is responsible for creating a syllabus, holding regular posted office hours (minimum 2 hours/week), and evaluating student work and exams, and calculating and posting grades. The instructor may also be required to hold discussion sections or supervise a graduate student teaching assistant, reader, or remedial tutor.
This is a limited-term appointment which falls under the purview of the agreement for the Lecturers Unit between University of California and the American Federation of Teachers. Appointments for AY 2024/2025 and/or Fall 2024 semester are reviewed in May/June, and for Spring 2025 semester are reviewed in October. The posting will remain open through February 2025 to accommodate upcoming course needs and new applicants.

Qualifications
Advanced degree in a relevant area or related field and professional experience working in a related field or teaching at the college or university level are required.
A record of excellence in teaching that demonstrates broad experience working with students of different abilities, ethnic backgrounds, and educational attainment.
