The salary range for this position is $99,100-$215,800. “Off-scale salaries” and other components of pay, i.e., a salary that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated rank and step, are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions.

Position description

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at UC Merced seeks applicants for multiple tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor level beginning on July 1, 2024. Candidates in all areas of computer science and engineering will be equally considered.

The department seeks candidates who demonstrate both a record of outstanding scholarship and contributions to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We are particularly interested in attracting candidates who can contribute to the growing diversity and
excellence of the community through their teaching, scholarship, and service.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications

A doctoral degree in computer science or a related field is required at time of employment.

Preferred qualifications

Applicants should have a distinguished academic record, an exceptional potential to conduct world-class research in a collaborative environment, and a strong commitment to teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
