UC Merced Extension anticipates hiring part-time instructor positions to teach the following courses in Spanish for AY 2023-24. Course(s) being offered may include but not limited to:

-Elementary Spanish I

Teaching responsibilities include instructional delivery for high school dual enrollment sections. Sections may include up to 35 high school juniors and/or seniors per section. Sections may be delivered in a taught face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online format. This appointment is within UC Merced Extension with a dotted line to the World Languages Program in the School of Social Sciences, Humanities, and Arts (SSHA).

In addition to teaching the course(s), the instructor is responsible for creating a syllabus, holding weekly office hours (2 hours/week), and grading examinations and/or papers.

Spring Term: 1/1/2024 – 5/31/2024
Summer Term: 6/1/2024 – 7/31/2024

UC Merced Extension anticipates hiring multiple part-time instructors for the courses listed above throughout the academic year based on the course sections scheduled and/or planned.

UC Merced graduate students, post-doccs, and other academic appointees affiliated with the UC Merced World Languages (Spanish) program will be given priority for initial sections.
