The Porous Transport Laboratory directed by Dr. James Palko, is looking for a self-motivated, creative, enthusiastic and highly qualified postdoctoral researcher to perform research in thermal and electrochemical transport (http://poroustransport.weebly.com/).
The successful candidate will have training and an established track record in multiphase heat transfer and/or electrochemical transport. With guidance, the postdoctoral researcher is expected to stay abreast of recent publications in the field, carry out research, implement and develop research ideas and write research articles.
Qualifications: Applicants must have obtained a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field by the starting date. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Highly self-motivated individuals who have demonstrated the ability to conduct scientific research successfully and work independently are also required.
The candidate should have demonstrable experience in at least one of the following areas: 1) experimental characterization or modeling of phase change heat transfer, 2) microfluidics and/or 3) electrochemical transport.
