The position is to develop spatial and temporal models of species abundances across marine lakes of Palau, as part of a broader project focused on understanding the abiotic and biotic factors that influence community assembly and dynamics. The modelling will link species- and community-level modeling, genetic, and paleoecological tools to understand the ecological and evolutionary forces shaping populations, species, and communities across time and space in marine lakes since the Last Glacial Maximum.

The University of California, Merced is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer with a strong institutional commitment to the achievement of diversity among its faculty, staff, and students. The University is supportive of dual career couples.
