Position title: Lecturer
Salary range: A reasonable estimate for an initial appointment is $64,329. See Unit 18 Lecturer table for the salary range for this position. For current appointees, normal compensation will be based on the annual salary of the Unit 18 faculty NSF in effect as of June 30 of the calendar year in which summer session begins. Salary is prorated in accordance instructional workload calculation.

Position description

The School of Engineering seeks a lecturer(s) to teach courses in Mechanical lecturer positions to teach the following subjects in Summer 2023:

ENGR 065 Circuit Theory
ME 21 Engineering Computing
Other courses as needed

In addition to teaching the course(s), the instructor will be evaluating student work and exams, calculating and posting grades, and holding regular posted office hours each week.

This is a limited-term appointment which falls under the purview of the agreement for the Lecturers Unit between University of California and the American Federation of Teachers. Terms and conditions of employment are subject to UC policy and appropriate collective bargaining agreement. See the following url for additional information:

Qualifications

Basic qualifications

Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and experience teaching at the college or university level is required. Must be able to provide a record of excellence in teaching.
