Position description
The UC Merced Center for Educational Partnerships is to provide student, school, and parent-centered services that ultimately result in students having the greatest number of post-secondary choices from the widest array of options upon graduation.
UC Merced Center for Educational Partnerships anticipates reappointing and hiring part-time Teacher - Special Programs positions to teach in the following Programs in AY 2023-2024:
UC Scholars
Talent Search
Upward Bound
Gateway Scholars
Upward Bound Math & Science
Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP)
Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP)
Other programs as determined
Basic Qualifications: Applicants must have either a Bachelor's or equivalent international degree at the time of application.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s preferred in academic field assigned by CEP staff, in addition to teaching experience at the k-12 level(s).
This is a limited-term appointment which falls under the purview of the agreement for the Lecturers Unit between University of California and the American Federation of Teachers. Terms and conditions of employment are subject to UC policy and appropriate collective bargaining agreement. Qualifications
Applicants must have either a Bachelor's or equivalent international degree at the time of application, a record of experience teaching mathematics and/or English Language Arts.
Master's Degree in English and/or Mathematics with a teaching credential preferred, in addition to teaching experience at the K-12 level(s).
