Position description

The UC Merced Center for Educational Partnerships is to provide student, school, and parent-centered services that ultimately result in students having the greatest number of postsecondary choices from the widest array of options upon graduation.

The UC Merced Center for Educational Partnerships is seeking qualified professionals to teach academies for Summer 2021 and Academic Year 2021/2022.

Gateway Scholars
Upward Bound Math & Science
Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP)
Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP)

Basic Qualifications: Applicants must have either a Bachelor's or equivalent international degree at the time of application.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s preferred in academic field assigned by CEP staff, in addition to teaching experience at the k-12 level(s).

Interested applicants are required to submit 1) a Cover Letter, 2) a Resume/Curriculum Vitae, 3) a Statement of Teaching , 4) three (3) References with contact information only, 5) *a Statement on Contributions to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and 6) a valid teaching credential (if applicable)

Salary is based on the UC Academic Salaries for Unit 18 Lecturers. The table can be found here.

This is a limited-term appointment which falls under the purview of the agreement for the Lecturers Unit between University of California and the American Federation of Teachers. Terms and conditions of employment are subject to UC policy and appropriate collective bargaining agreement.
