Position description

UC Merced is also building the Downtown Campus Center, a $33 million, three-story administrative building in the heart of Merced.

The School of Natural Sciences anticipates hiring full and part-time lecturer positions to teach the following subjects in Summer 2019:

Introductory Physics I for Physical Sciences
Introductory Physics II for Physical Sciences
Introductory Physics I for Biological Sciences
Introductory Physics II for Biological Sciences
Other courses as needed

This is a limited-term appointment which falls under the purview of the agreement for the Lecturers Unit between University of California and the American Federation of Teachers. Terms and conditions of employment are subject to UC policy and appropriate collective bargaining agreement. Advanced degree in Physics or related field and experience teaching at the college or university level is required.

Salary is based on an annual full-time salary of $54,738.00 and commensurate with experience.
