The School of Engineering anticipates hiring Readers in the following disciplines in the 2019-2020 Academic Year (Summer 2019, Fall 2019, Spring 2020):

Bioengineering
Computer Science and Engineering
Environmental Engineering
Materials Science and Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Management of Complex Systems
Engineering Fundamentals

Please indicate in your cover letter which course(s) you are interested in reading for.

The Reader will be responsible for grading homework, quizzes, exams as needed under the supervisor of the instructor. The position will require up to a maximum of 18 hours per week.

Qualifications:
The Reader will be in good standing at UC Merced and have successfully completed course or related course he/she is appointed to as a reader with a B+ or better. To apply, submit an updated CV and cover letter. Readers will usually be graduate students but qualified undergraduate students may be employed when graduate students are not available. Professional readers, not enrolled as students, may be employed to meet special needs, but only on an hourly basis.

Salary: $15.45/hour undergraduate; $16.26/hour graduate.
